What is Diisodecyl Phthalate ?

Diisodecyl Phthalate (DIDP) is manufactured by the esterification of phthalic anhydride with isodecyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. It is a high-molecular-weight, general-purpose plasticizer that is added to polyvinyl chloride to impart flexibility.
